Hey dear friends,
After a while, I was finally able to use some time to rest and take care of my family and health.
The week before last, I unfortunately had to be in bed with malaria and was sick for the first time in three years. That doesn't happen very often.
Hopefully most of you are aware that I completed a month-long course in April to obtain my official coaching license. Which I now officially have!
If you would like more information or weekly updates, you can join our WhatsApp info group:
Things are about to get exciting because some things will change in the coming weeks. But more on that in a moment.
We're doing really well. Atipa and I are really enjoying working with OM again. Well, for now. OM Zambia isn't doing so well financially. But God is here and knows why OM is going through this.
Over the past few weeks, Atipa and I have been able to take further steps to legalize our marriage certificate so that it will be recognized by the German embassy in Germany. This is huge progress, and we are very grateful to God for it.
We are incredibly grateful for your amazing support in prayer and also financially. It truly means a lot to us. We thank God for each and every one of you who helps us time and time again!
This brings us closer to the project I want to start with the guys. The HopeBuddy welding project is in full swing and will begin soon, as I've now gathered most of the tools. The guys can't wait to learn and be able to take care of themselves. If you want to see what we've accomplished together, you can see it in this video:
We are on course for the "future" not only in this personal project, which is also reflected in the Academy Vision, but also in the project that now places the Hope Strikers completely under OM Zambia's Ministry Sports Link.
This brings me to our latest update:
Because we had to make some changes, we unfortunately also had to change the name of the new academy, which is now based on OM.

The new academy name will be:
Since the season will end in the next few weeks, my task now is to be in every age group U12, U15 and U18.
We need to select 25 players each and register them in the official OM/Sports Link Hope Academy, issuing IDs so that we can train on the OM base again in the future, and I can also start the welding project on the base.
Our goal is to start this as quickly as possible because we're lagging behind with what's happening in Kabwe. Training is still taking place, of course, but this week the U12s train on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3 pm to 4:30 pm. The U15s train at the same time, but now on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Naturally, the U18s train every day until Friday.
There's already quite a bit to do, and we're looking forward to having more coaches on the team soon. I really want to ask for your help, just pray for the right decisions and for the welding project to really work out. Because that can really help us financially and give us a solid foundation for building goals, benches, changing rooms, and more.
I hope to get my laptop back soon; it unfortunately broke down but is being repaired, so I can edit videos again and keep you all updated. Right now, it's really not working well using Atipa's old work computer, which she needs all the time.
Well, with all this trust in God, we can look forward happily and cheerfully to what He has in store for us and what He will protect us.
I would like to invite you once again to pray fervently for us and to accompany us through everything that lies ahead.
We would like to encourage anyone who knows someone who also has a heart for young people and loves sports to tell them about us here in Zambia and perhaps get in touch with us.
Directly: We are looking for partners and potential volunteers to help us, perhaps even in Zambia for a while!
Warm greetings from Zambia and God's blessings.
Jonah & Atipa
